Early Christian Excavations
With excavations, a church complex of an early Christian place of pilgrimage dating from the 5th and 6th centuries AD was uncovered. These churches have been preserved and are now open to the public all year round.
St. Rosalia Grotto and Mineral Spring
The inhabitants of the Jauntal Valley have always described the St. Rosalia Grotto on the Mt. Hemmaberg as mystic and mysterious. There are many rumours circulating about the small grotto and its spring.

For one and a half thousand years, the Mt. Hemmaberg near Globasnitz has been the pilgrimage site for people searching for sources and the meaning of life.
The trail of consciousness is an invitation to reflect on humanity and Christianity, and to search for and find the meaning in it. Nine stations of the meditation trail of consciousness have been designed by the Carinthian artist Valentin Oman.
