The raised chancel with the clergy bench in the apse was decorated with coloured mosaic floor. Under the altar, there was the relic chamber for the mortal remains of a saint from the western Mediterranean area.
The highlight of the consecration of the church was the burial of martyr’s mortal remains under the altar. The church hall was linked with the sacristy, the hall, the anteroom and the burial chamber.
